The websites leveraging this palette were pediatric clinic sites that primarily used white text on a colored background. Within the primary palette, the colors blue, lime and pink all failed while lilac, the main color, was only AA compliant at large text sizes. The secondary palette, which consisted of crimson, orange and yellow, came from the main corporate palette. Because these colors were used elsewhere, we were already aware of their scores and that orange and yellow would need to be used for elements that did not convey information. This included brand guidelines details, component libraries and code, print layout templates and information on how to use the design system.
